Heat Pump HVAC Installations
At Connected Technology, we’re proud to offer heat pump HVAC installation services. Whether you’re upgrading your heating system or exploring a full gas-to-electric conversion, we’re here to help you make the switch! A heat pumps heats your home in the winter, cools it in the summer, and can even warm your water year-round. Here’s why they’re catching on fast:
Lower Monthly Costs – Heat pumps use electricity efficiently, which means you’ll likely see a noticeable drop in your utility bills.
Humidity – A heat pump has higher humidity in the winter than a gas furnace. This is more comfortable at lower temperatures and mucus
membranes don’t dry out, keeping you less susceptible to disease.
Better for the Planet – Swapping gas for electric reduces greenhouse gases and supports a cleaner future.
Year-Round Comfort – These systems work hard through every season, keeping your home cozy or cool without the need for separate systems.
Q: Do heat pumps work in winter?
A: Yes. Modern heat pumps are designed to work efficiently even in cold weather. They extract heat from the outside air and transfer it indoors, keeping your home warm without relying on gas.
Q: Are heat pumps noisy?
A: No. Newer heat pumps are much quieter than older HVAC systems. You’ll hear only a low hum during operation, similar to a refrigerator, making them ideal for indoor comfort.
Q: How long do heat pumps last?
A: With proper maintenance, most quality heat pumps last 12–15 years or more. Regular tune-ups help keep them running efficiently and extend their lifespan.
Q: What rebates are available?
A: In SMUD territory, qualifying multi-stage heat pump systems installed by a SMUD Contractor Network pro can earn up to $2,500 back. Systems must be two-stage at 15.2 SEER2+ or variable-speed to qualify. If you’re switching from gas to electric, SMUD also offers a Go Electric panel-upgrade bonus up to $2,000.
Note: If you’re going to do multiple improvements, such as a heat pump water heater, a heat pump HVAC system or insulation, SMUD’s Home Performance Program may be suitable for you.
We’ll help guide you through all eligible programs and handle the paperwork to maximize your savings.
